Calling local [YOUTH] artists!

You’re invited to submit your original artwork for the inaugural Arts on Fire Festival (AoF) Youth Arts Showcase. This year’s theme is Energy. People, coal, electricity, and steam power are just a few of the energy sources that changed Scranton from a rural landscape to the blossoming & multi-cultural city it is today. Since energy is the capacity to do work or cause change, we want to see your creative take on the concept. How has energy fueled change in your lives and your community?

Here are the guidelines:

  • Must be under 18 years old to submit work.
  • All work must be your own & match the theme.
  • Any medium EXCEPT film is allowed.
  • Must submit form (the form includes either a photo of the finished project or a sketch/mockup) and permission slip by due date. No late submissions will be considered.
  • Must be willing to display your work on the Saturday (June 7) of the Arts on Fire Festival and communicate with visitors about your work, inspiration, and process.

The deadline for submitting your artwork is May 24, 2025 by 4pm. Submit your artwork below.

***If you cannot submit online, please stop by the Anthracite Heritage Museum in McDade Park or [insert partners like United Neighborhood Centers NEPA] to complete a physical form.
