This mine car was used at the Wanamie Colliery of the Lehigh and Wilkes-Barre Coal Company in Luzerne County.  Designed for hard use, mine cars were of sturdy construction.  The features of this car include heavy wooden sides, a sheet iron bottom and front and an end-dumping door.

Commonwealth of Pennsylvania's Historical and Museum 
Commission, Harrisburg, PA.
