Working Memory: A Conversation on Labor Journalism, Art & Music will bring together three distinct perspectives on how labor is documented, represented, and shaped into collective memory. Join us as we talk with Kim Kelly about her labor reportage for Teen Vogue and other national outlets; artist Zach Horn, whose audiovisual exhibition Paradise is currently on display at AHM; and Brian Reese, who will perform and discuss labor folk songs.
This program is included with museum admission and is presented in recognition of John Mitchell Day, honoring the legacy of the influential United Mine Workers president whose leadership during the landmark 1902 coal strike helped establish collective bargaining as a feature of American labor relations.
